They judged me by my cover,
They see only my broken scars,
But what the outside looks like,
Is not what I have to offer within.

I never should have been checked out,
You should have kept me on the shelf,
As the ink bleeds though crimson red,
The lies and the secrets contained reveled.

Your fingers are slowly stained,
Remember the date and the time,
That you last cried for a reason,
And idea is lost among the page.

I cannot laugh or smile anymore,
A twisted feeling upon my lips,
Godless and forgotten among the ruins,
I won't escape my past and what I've done.

A pretty face among the shadows,
A multiplying desire spawns anew,
Do you believe in coincidences,
That is a risk I shall not take.

So put me back upon my shelf,
And leave me quite alone,
What you saw you can never share,
For everyone shall think you quite mad.
